The latest version of the eID software is always available on their website.
Windows
If your eID software does not offer an automatic update, then:
Run ID-card utility and click on ’Settings', then 'Check for updates and close utility’
If there is a new version available you can follow the onscreen instructions.
Mac OS X
If you have DigiDoc4 client (includes DigiDoc4 crypto) and ID-card utility installed then Apple's AppStore will keep your software up to date
If you're using your eID card with browsers in order to enter and/or sign digitally in
e-services then you'll also have to keep the web components up to dateIf there's a new version available, the software will notify you, but from time to time you should check for updates manually as well
In order to do that: type "id-updater" into Spotlight search (top right corner) and press Enter, wait until ID-updater launches and if you see the button 'Download update' at the bottom left corner becoming active, click it and follow onscreen instructions
